Super Savings Saturday: Fab Finds For $50 Or Less!

Happy Saturday Beauties!

I hope you are all having an awesome weekend so far! Just like every other girl at JMU (or “biddie” as many people like to call the female population of JMU), one of my favorite ensembles in the colder months is an oversized top of some sort paired with leggings and boots.  I just feel like you really cannot go wrong with this type of outfit when you are going to campus for a full day of classes or a long library session! With that being said, I have found 6 super chic sweaters along with 6 plaid flannel tops (these bad boys are all the rave this season!)… and they’re all either $50 or less… what more could you want?!

No matter what your reason is for “needing” some new tops like I do, here are a ton of options that will not break the bank and are perfect for this winter! They are not only chic and stylish, but they are all so comfy and “in” this season. Just take a walk through JMU’s campus… chances are at least every other girl who walks by you will be wearing either one of these tops or something very similar.

I hope you ladies are having a wonderful Saturday and are getting your weekend off to a great start! Bored on this chilly Saturday? Have no plans for Sunday? Hit the shops and get some new tops… who’s to stop you?! It’s not like you’re going to blow your budget!

Wallet Friendly Friday Round 2…

Save vs. Splurge…

With sweater season arriving quickly, I have been doing a little bit of online shopping the past few days. I found this Marc Jacobs sweater and fell in love with it, but I knew that if I bought this $315 sweater my parents would kill me! So instead, I kept on going without adding that perfect cream sweater that every girl needs to my shopping cart (talk about self control…)!  But, then a few hours later (when I was avoiding studying for my exam again…), I found myself looking at a sweater that looked almost identical to this dream sweater I had previously found… The difference, you wonder? This new sweater I was looking at was from H&M and, at only $24, was a fraction of the price! This, I decided, is definitly something I can afford and also justify buying… The way I see it, big, warm, comfy sweaters are like a good pair of leggings, you can never have too many and the never go out of style!

Happy Friday Everyone! The Weekend Is Almost Here!

Good morning! I can honestly say that I have not been so excited for Friday in a long time! This week was my midterms week, and let me tell you… it was NOT fun! But, it is finally over, the weekend is here, and I am ready to have some fun and catch up on relaxation and sleep! Today’s Outfit of the Day is a budget savvy ensemble (duh Kristen… it’s Friday!) that really is perfect for so many occasions! It is the perfect outfit for a day in the office or even for a dinner date or dinner party! No matter what your weekend may have in store, you can probably find something to wear this super awesome outfit for!

OPI Bubble Bath – ulta.com, $9

Beauty Tip:

Whether you like your nails to make a statement or not, you should always have nail polish on them, ladies! Even if you do not like to draw attention to them, use a neutral, clean color like Bubble Bath made by OPI (or, if you’re an Essie fan, I also love Mademoiselle!) However, if you’re trying to make a statement with your nails, my all time favorite, and go-to fall color is Lincoln Park After Dark (also by OPI).

One of my biggest pet peeves is when women walk around with chipped nail polish.. its gross ladies, please do not do it! I am telling you, it really does say more about you than you would think!

Anyway, now that I have gotten my daily rant out of the way, with that being said I hope you all have a fantastic weekend and do a lot of fun (or, if you had a week like mine, relaxation).  Even if you are on a tight budget, you can do a little shopping and pick up something along these lines for Motivational Monday to look your best and start your week out on the right foot next week!

XOXO, Kristen
