OOTD: Thrifty Thrursday

Good Morning Darling!

Happy Thursday lovely ladies! I hope you’re having a wonderful morning so far, and your day is getting off on the right foot! I don’t know about you guys, but I could not be more ready for Spring to actually start… I know it officially began last week, but with snow earlier this week, it just hasn’t felt like Spring yet! So, in hopes of having this be the end of the cold weather, this week’s Thrifty Thursday is a super fun springtime outfit!

Outfit Of The Day - Thrifty Thursday

Top: Only, $23; Pants: Mango, $33; Shoes: DV by Dolce Vita$89 $44 (ON SALE NOW!); Bag: H&M, $41;  Watch: TOPSHOP, $50; Necklace: ALDO, $18; Bracelet: Wallis Fashion$21 $18 (ON SALE NOW!); Earrings: Body Central, $4.

Perfect for so many occasions, you could easily wear this outfit for a day of shopping and lunch with the girls or even a date night with someone special.  I cannot wait for warmer weather so I can start wearing outfits like this one again… My favorite part of Spring/Summer is wedges, and I cannot wait to finally be able to wear them (they’re just so cute and so comfortable!).

What do you think of today’s outfit of the day?! Do you love wedges as much as I do? What’s your favorite part of Spring/Summer? Let me know in the comments below, and have a lovely day ladies!

OOTD: Workout Wednesday

Hello there beautiful! I hope you are all having a wonderful Wednesday so far, and hopefully your weather is warmer than mine is… But if not, hopefully you’re at least staying warm! As I told you all last week, my sister and I finally decided to pick the race and set the date for the half marathon we’ve been talking about doing for the past year (which will be in September… AHH!).  So, while our training hasn’t technically started yet (we’re doing a 12-week training program), I am definitely doing everything I can to get in shape as much as possible starting now! So, with that, these Workout Wednesday outfits are going to start becoming very real in my life, and I am going to try and post outfits that I actually have/I’m looking to get so I can give you a little more info on the different pieces! So, this week’s Workout Wednesday is really springy and fun, and is something I’ve definitely been eyeing lately!

Outfit Of The Day - Workout Wednesday

Top: Studio by Capezio Andria, $34; Sports Bra: Casall, $74; Pants: Nike, $54; Shoes: Nike, $105.

I don’t know about you, but that outfit makes me want to go for a run… Thank goodness (hopefully it actually makes me follow through, too!).  But, a quick gym run is all you need, ladies. You don’t have to spend hours upon hours there, even if you only have time for a quick 30 minute cardio session… It’s better than doing nothing! Don’t keep putting it off, get your skinny booties to the gym!

OOTD: Trendy Tuesday

Good morning and happy Tuesday, beauties! I hope you are all having a great week so far, and you’re not stuck in any more snow! I don’t know about you, but I am so over all of this snow… Not only is it a pain in the butt, but it is really starting to take a toll on my skin and hair (more on that later, though…)!

But, enough complaining! Today we have a phenomenal little ensemble for this week’s Trendy Tuesday.  This fun dress can be dressed up for a day of work or dressed down for a day of running around and being productive! Either way, this dress is absolutely fabulous and is sure to turn the heads of everyone you run into.

Outfit Of The Day - Trendy Tuesday

Dress: MICHAEL by Michael Kors, $175; Blazer: H&M, $41; Shoes: Valentino, $1,075; Bag: Prada, $2,330; Bracelet: C. Wonder, $45; Ring: David Yurman, $900; Earrings: Kenneth Cole, $9.

Is this outfit fabulous or what?! I know that I, personally, would kill for this outfit (or really just any part of it!), but unfortunately for me, none of these items are really in my budget at the moment. Sad day for Kristen… But, with graduation around the corner, it is only a matter of time before I have a job and can start working towards fun things that I’ll be able to splurge on!

I hope you ladies have a wonderful day and stay warm in the midst of the wintery tundra that has made its way back into our life. Stay strong though, it’s almost over! What do you think of this outfit? What is on your wishlist of designer, splurge items right now? Let me know in the comments below… I may want to add them to my list also!

OOTD: Thrifty Thursday

Good morning, gorgeous!

Hello there and happy Thursday my loves! As I’m sure many of you are already wondering, “What’s up with this Thrifty Thursday I’m seeing…?” I have decided to change a few things around, and make Thursdays now Thrifty Thursday, and Friday will then change to For Your Face Friday (instead of our current Wallet Friendly Friday).  I have been getting requests for some more posts about beauty products and make-up ideas, so that is why the change has been made! Keep the suggestions flowing, y’all! I love hearing what you have to say!

But, for our first ever Thrifty Thursday we have an amazing little ensemble that is perfect for this time of year.  With the weather changing drastically from day to day (one day it’s 70 degrees and sunny, and then the next we’re getting a foot of snow… Literally!) it is so hard to know how to dress and what is “seasonally appropriate.” Well this outfit works for both a cold winter’s day and a cool sunny early spring afternoon! So, without further ado, here is our first of many Thrifty Thursday‘s to come.

Outfit Of The Day - Thrifty Thursday

Top: American Eagle Outfitters, $50; Pants: Mango, $40; Shoes: Nine West, $80; Bracelet: Emations, $20; Watch: Fossil$95 $60 (ON SALE NOW!); Earrings: Lucky Brand$15 $9 (ON SALE NOW! )

Do you love this outfit or what?! I cannot wait until it is finally springtime, and sunny, and warm, and a time when I don’t have to make sure I am up early enough to have time to start my car 20 minutes before I have to leave my house because it is so unbelievably cold.  I am also absolutely ecstatic about the fact that the days of below freezing temperatures are limited (for this year at least…), and sandal, shorts, dress, and wedge weather is upon us! Ah, these are my favorite things ever, so naturally I am so excited that I can’t stop thinking about it! But, the one plus about still having some colder days left? BOOTS! I absolutely love boots, and these Nine West boots happen to be one of my all time favorites! I tried so hard to find them in my size all winter, and for some reason I was never able to get my hands on these beauties, but you better believe I will have my eyes peeled until I have them in my hands (even if it’s 20 years down the road when I will call them “vintage” to make myself feel better…)!

But, I hope you all have a fabulous Thursday, and don’t forget to check back tomorrow for our first ever For Your Face Friday!

OOTD: Wallet Friendly Friday

Hello there, and happy Friday everyone! I hope you are all having a fabulous Friday so far, and you’re getting ready for the weekend! I know I most certainly am… I am coming home this weekend, and I cannot wait to see my family! Next week is my spring break (yeah, I know… I don’t get to go anywhere fun. What a bummer, right?!), and I am excited to just get to come home, spend time with my family, and relax a little bit! With graduation coming quickly, I have been stressing about jobs (applying, interviewing, actually getting one…) a lot lately, so I want to come home and take this week to just step away from it all and relax a little!

But, enough about me… This week’s Wallet Friendly Friday is super cute! It’s the perfect outfit for a night on the town, and with the unseasonably warm weather we’ve been having lately, I figured it was the perfect way to kick off this Friday and get everyone excited and motivated for the fun activities that will occur this weekend.  So, here ya go ladies… Wallet Friendly Friday:

Outfit Of The Day - Wallet Friendly Friday

Top: Dorothy Perkins, $44; Pants: H&M, $33; Shoes: Forever 21, $33; Bag: Mango, $90, Bracelet: C. Wonder$58 $45; Earrings: Debenhams$15 $12.

Does that make you want to go out, or what? Getting dressed is always one of the hardest parts of going out for me (I just never know what to wear!), but when I finally figure it out or when I have an awesome outfit that I am excited to wear, I am always so pumped to hit the town with my friends! I don’t know if you are anything like me, in that regard, but this is definitely an outfit that would make me want to go downtown with the ladies for the evening!

I hope you all have a wonderful evening, and a great weekend! Do you have any awesome plans? What do you think of this outfit? Anything else? Let me know by commenting below!

Transformation Tuesday: Makeover Madness

Okay, so I know this is long overdue, but as I told you guys, when I was home for Christmas break I took my dad shopping in an attempt to improve his fashion sense and just overall fashion.  His go-to look has always been jeans that are too big for him, with either a short or long sleeved plaid button-up, or a sweatshirt paired with some awful sneakers to pull the whole look together.  This has been my dad’s signature look for as long as I can remember. Well, I decided that instead of just making fun of his terrible shoes that even the gentlemen in the nursing home would judge, I would try to do something about this travesty, and I took him out for a day of shopping to get some new clothes!

After a lot of nervousness on his part, and a mall full of people finishing up their last minute Christmas shopping (my dad already hates shopping and crowds, so this was two extra things I had working against me!), we finally made it out with a pair of jeans that actually fit him, a pair of nice khaki pants (that also fit…), and two button-ups that include absolutely no plaid! The best purchase he made on that lovely Friday was a pair of shoes. He got a pair of brown leather shoes that look so nice on him and that actually give him a little bit of style! He actually liked everything he got and has been doing a little bit better about swapping out his old gear for his new clothes and shoes that he now has.

He also knows that this is just the beginning of his complete makeover, and he will be buying more clothes to upgrade the wardrobe when I am home in a week for Spring Break, and then his wardrobe will be complete after the summer is over when I am living back at home! So, here are some photos of the before and after look!

That’s just one of the outfits he got during our shopping spree, but already so much better and those were just the small changes! What do you think of his transformation?

OOTD: Motivational Monday

Good morning beauty queens!

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a fantastic Valentine’s Day weekend, and you survived the mounds of snow that were dumped on us (well, if you had any snow, that is…)! But this week’s Motivational Monday is perfect because this dress is so versatile! It is super professional when paired with a blazer (like it is here!), or you could ditch the blazer add some higher pumps (with a little bit of a platform maybe?) and some awesome jewels, and you’ve got the perfect date night outfit or even an awesome ensemble for a night on the town!

Outfit Of The Day - Motivational Monday

Dress: Brunello Cucinello (Stylebop), $1,275; Blazer: H&M, $25; Shoes: Jimmy Choo, $750; Bag: Tory Burch, $495; Watch: Marc Jacobs, $175; Ring: Coach, $78; Earrings: Kate Spade New York, $68

If that isn’t classy, I don’t know what is… I hope this awesome outfit inspires you as much as it did me this morning! And remember, there are so many pieces that you can buy that are perfectly professional when you pair them with the right things, and also super fun and apropriate for a night out when you change up the accessories! It’s all about versatility, ladies. I know a lot of us can’t always justify spending tons of money on certain items, but when you think about it, if what you’re buying is versatile, you’re getting way more than one outfit or look out of it and the item you’re buying is pretty much guaranteed to be way better quality than the cheaper alternatives you would be looking at!  But anyway, that’s enough of my preaching for one day… I hope you all have an amazing day and you get your week started out right!

What is your favorite article of clothing that you can wear for many different occasions?! Let me know in the comments below!

P.S. – If you haven’t entered my Stella & Dot giveaway yet, what are you waiting for?! Every day you wait is costing you more and more chances to win! Don’t put it off any longer… It’s super easy and quick to enter, so do it now! :)

OOTD: Workout Wednesday

Good Morning ladies…

Happy hump day! It’s finally Wednesday so naturally it’s time for this week’s Workout Wednesday! I don’t know about you, but lately I have fallen off the wagon with my New Year’s resolution of going to the gym more often…  I got really sick a few weeks ago and then I was just so busy with school work and stuff last week that it definitely was not my priority. But, there’s no time like the present, so it’s time for me to get back to the gym and into my routine and you can do it too! I know that personally, I feel so much better when I go to the gym everyday (or at least regularly…), and while I know that is not possible in everyone’s busy schedule, you should really make the effort to do some type of physical activity (even if it is a Pinterest workout! Those babies kick my butt sometimes!) not for your appearance but  for your health.  Even if you love the way you look (which you should… you’re all flawless!) it helps you maintain a healthy lifestyle and helps you live longer when you exercise regularly! So, now that I just rambled and lectured you poor ladies, here is this week’s Workout Wednesday (finally!)…

Outfit Of The Day - Workout Wednesday

Tank Top: Etsy, $23; Sweatshirt: American Eagle Outfitters, $20; Pants: Rubber Doll (Lord and Taylor), $24; Shoes: Nike (Zappos), $65

I know I’ve told you guys about a million times that workout clothes are my favorite and often times they are what motivate me to go to the gym, but I am going to tell you a million and one… It really is something that makes me what to workout! Why wouldn’t I want to wear gym clothes to class?! If I am going to the gym right after I can (and do…), so it is one of the best ways to get myself to go! If you haven’t tried this out yet, I highly recommend it! If you have errands to run or something to do before you workout, put your workout clothes on before you do it and see how much more motivation you have to stop by the gym before you go home… After all, you do have to pass by don’t you?! I hope you ladies have a wonderful day and don’t forget to hit the gym! You’ll feel so much better once it’s over!
